windows media player and ipod shuffle

I can't sync my device using WMP, I can see it with itunes player, but I
can't figure out how to get songs (audio files) to the ipod, is there a
plugin I'm missing with WMP? I looked at apple's site and the only plug in
is the whole itunes latest version.

You cannot sync to your iPod using Windows Media Player. You will need to
use iTunes.
