internet explorer 6

Ever since I've installed SP1, I'm unable to download any
and all files from the net. I see the following error
message after the file download - open, save screen
appears.

"Internet explorer was unable to open this internet site.
The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be
found"

This happens with even email attachments.

Hope someone can help me with this problem. MS refused to
help unless it gets paid.

Hi Laxman,

What version of Windows are you using?

When I installed SP1 of IE6 on my Windows 2000 system, IE was unable
to function. I removed it, and all is OK.

I think the SP1 for IE6 is (not yet) compatible with Windows 2000.
