internet explorer 6 in windows 98

i have a friend who is having a major problem with his computer... he can't
even get online, which is why he asked me about this... he recently
uninstalled and re-installed kazaa, but his internet explorer is no longer
there... so he uninstalled kazaa and ie 6.0 and then tried to re-install ie
6.0 but his computer says that he has an upgraded version already in his
computer... he really needs help...

Can he get on Internet for mails and so? Then download another browser
like mozilla firefox by ftp:
Click start > run, then type command
Type ftp
Type open ftp.mozilla.org
He asks you username, just enter, then you'll login anonymous. (If this
does not work type disconnect and retry to get a mirror that does work)
Type cd pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.10.1/
Type get "Firefox Setup 1.0PR.exe"
Firefox will start downloading
After it's downloaded you can type quit first, then exit to return to
windows. You'll find the downloaded file at your desktop. If the file
doesn't work for some reason please try again to get another mirror.

If he really can't get on internet download it to your pc from
www.getfirefox.com and place it on a CD, or a few diskettes (Setup
file is ÂÂ5 mb)

Uninstall Kazaa. It is known to contain spyware that really eats up
your computer. You will also need to get rid of the other spyware
that comes with Kazaa. Good luck.
