Installing Fonts

I am new to Word 2003, but have had problems with the installed fonts file in
Word 97. When there were about 400+ fonts installed in 97, there was the
possibility of the fonts file corrupting. Is there a maximum number of fonts
that can be installed before there are problems in 2003? I do hope this
situation is not common in 2003.

It's the OS that limits you, not Word. I have 963 in WinXP Pro with no
problems.

The problem is not in Word but in Windows. In earlier versions of Windows
(through 95/98/Me, I think), there was a limit to the cumulative length of
the font filenames (see

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=131943). I think this is not an issue in
later versions of Windows.
