Form design: Content selection list

Hi there. I'm trying to do something in Word that I'm reasonably certain I've been able to create in the past, but can't figure out how to do in Word 2007. I've done as much research (help files, google search, etc.) as I can manage before I bang my head against a wall.

I'm trying to put a list in a table inside a form in which selecting the left item shows the detail for that item on the right, using data like the attached example:

Selecting Swimming would input the following into the current place in the form:
Swimming
· Swimsuit
· Bathing cap
· Goggles

While I have power-user knowledge of Word, I've never used ActiveX controls or VB, so any instructions that require them would need to include details that help me get there from within the form design template.
