Install Seild Engine ikernel.exe problem

I just rebuilt an older computer and installed a new Samsung DVD-Rom Drive.
I'm having problems loading the software. I keep getting an error: "The
install shield engine ikernel.exe could not be installed. (0X010000)".
Everything else seems to be working fine. Any help will be appreciated.
