problems installing win xp sp2

Hi,
I have built a box and am having problems installing WinXP SP2 on the
machine. I have several new and unused Win XP Pro SP2 install disks. I
am trying to install on a Chaintech CT-7NJL6 motherboard with an AMD
Athalon XP 3000+ with 1 GB RAM, Radeon 9600 Pro AGP 256 MB video card
and a Pioneer DVR-710 DVD drive.

My problem is after it copies the files to hdd and reboots it comes up
and tells me there is approx 39 minutes left in the install and then an
error window opens that says that a crc error has occurred try cleaning
the disk or using different disk. [i am paraphrasing but close to the
wording]

I have tried another, previously unused, WinXP Pro SP2 install disk and
get the same results.

To check the system out I was able to install Win 98SE and work with it,
but it does not recognize the DVD drive as anything but a cd-rom drive.

Any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful.

You must have money to burn to have "several" XP Pro CD's lying around
unused..............or do you actually mean copied versions of the original
CD??????????/
The original works real nice.......no problems.
