Can't load Virtual Earth 3D

First off, this is likely posted in wrong area, if it is, please advise where
to post correctly.

I have been trying to get 3D live maps (Virtual Earth 3D) installed. The
install gets about 80% complete and quits. And gives the following message:

Virtual Earth 3D cannot be installed. Install Microsoft .NET Framework
2.0, and try again

I have .NET Framework 2.0 installed and the recommended Windows Imaging
Component from the ‘troubleshooting’ menu.

Any comments on how to get this working would be appreciated.

I am running Windows XP Home SP2.

Compaq 2800 P4 1.4GHz, 768 MB RAM, ATI Mobility 7500 Graphics.

I was able to install with no problem on my desktop (same OS, AMD Sempron
3400, nVidia FX5700 AGP Graphics card)

Any advice would be appriciated...thx

Uninstall .NET Framework 2.0 (all its updates and then it and then reboot)
and install it again and try again.

Thx
I had both .NET Framework 1.1 and .NET Framework 2.0 Beta installed.
I un-installed both and installed .NET Framework 2.0 and everything works
fine.
Not sure the graphics card is up to the task or that i have enough RAM, but
it loaded and is installed and functioning

Thx
Dave

You should know that .NET Framework 2.0 does not *replace* .NET Framework
1.1...
