I have been trying to install the setup utility for a
Belkin Wireless Notebook Card F5D6020 version 2 and I
cannot get past the following message:
IKernel.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x772200e4"" referenced memory
at "0x001631f0". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program.
The first Customer Service person at Belkin told me to
copy the installation files onto a disk and then install
from the disk - same result
The second rep told me it was an Install Shield problem
and that I should download the latest "zipfile" from
their website - the problem is there are large numbers of
downloads, so I called back to ask which ones.
The third rep told me that it was an XP problem and that
I might be able to "repair" the problem using the XP
installation disk, but that I might lose files, etc.
So, does anybody have any advice on how to deal with this
issues? Thanks!!
