Importing OUTLOOK e-mails to Windows Mail

Can anyone tell me if I can import my Outlook (not Outlook Express) e-mails
from my old computer to Windows Mail on this new one? I had heard I might
have to convert them first to Outlook Express and then import them. I would
appreciate any help as I am not so savvy when it comes to moving files over.

Many thanks
..

You have two choices of what to do: 1. Install Outlook, preferably version
2003 or later, on your new computer, since Windows Mail needs a part of
it to be able to import .pst files. Version 2002 also runs under Vista, but
with
a few problems. A free trial version will run more that long enough to
assist
in the transfer. 2. Import the mail first from Outlook to Outlook Express
on
your old computer, then import it from Outlook Express to Windows Mail.
