Hey all...
using XPPro/SP2 and all is well....but I can now no longer burn a CD using
the built-in XP functionality. a click on the files, then the Copy to CD
works fine, as always pops open the folder holding the chosen files with the
Write these files to CD button - all works fine. I do then insert a brandnew
CD and then click on the button - and I "hear" the drive startup - I get the
normal countdown in seconds and all looks fine. Except the files must not be
written as each and every one of the last 9 CDs is empty - no files
exist....on any box here at the office.
so...I know that IMAPI must be used in this process and yup, it's turned
OFF??? didn't ever do that, so I'm thinking that somehow it must be a file
that is dependant on another Service and that one's turned off...but so far,
I can not get IMAPI to turn on - and stay on. I Start and seconds later it
turns itself off (or so says the Event Viewer)....
can someone here point me to an answer....do I maybe need to "repair" my XP
O/S or some such thing? or is there an easier answer?
