imapi keeps disabling, CD-Rom not reading blank CD's

My CD-Rom won't acknowledge that I have a blank CD in it. It runs program
CD's fine. After reading previous questions, I checked to see if imapi was
started. It was not, so I started it. However, everytime I put in a blank CD,
imapi disables again. I don't have any other CD burning software installed.
Please help!

I'm having the EXACT SAME PROBLEM, only with my DVD-RW/CD-RW drive.
As soon as i try to burn ANY kind of file onto the cd, the imapi STOPS.

HELP! What's causing this???
