IMAP folders w/ new messages not bold until clicked

I have set up a number of folders under my IMAP Inbox, and set up Rules to
filter messages to them. The messages filter in just fine, but the mailbox
does not turn bold to notify me that any new unread messages are in there --
UNLESS I actually (guess correctly and) click on the mailbox. Then it turns
bold and gives me the number of new messages inside.

This is only a problem with my IMAP folders, not the Personal ones, and it
appears to be different than the known issue of parent folders not turning
bold when SUBfolders have received new mail. Any way to fix it?

Schedule an automatic send/receive for your IMAP account. This has to do
with how the IMAP protocol works.
