IE shuts down everytime I try to start it

HELP, I have hit road block after roadblock. It has been
cleaned, totally, brand new internet explorer software
reloaded. It is networked through a router and seems to
connect fine to internet, but clicking on internet
explorer 6 says it has 'encountered an error and has to
shut down', every time... nobody knows what the problem
could be, has anybody else had this issue?

Rule out parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,

I had an updated ME worked great with cable through modem. Added d-link router and couldnt get 1st page to load,(froze/internet explorer not responding). I then did recovery with HP's discs. Internet explorer worked great! I did all windows/microsoft updates, explorer 6 ... Now it doesnt work again! It's something in the updates, maybe in internet explorer 6 itself? D-link couldnt even figure it out. Hope this gets us closer?
