IE popups

When using IE and I click on a link to bring up a popup, the page opens but
then automatically closes after approximately 5 seconds. How can I prevent
this and keep the page open? For example, I go to a shopping site and click
on a link to a picture of an item. The page opens showing the picture but
then closes after approximately 5 seconds.

Win XP Pro SP2
 
Sp2 added a popup blocker to the tools menu of IE. You might also have
another popup blocker installed that fights with that.
