IE popups

When using IE and I click on a link to bring up a popup, the page opens but
then automatically closes after approximately 5 seconds. How can I prevent
this and keep the page open?

What third-party security applications or suites are running in the
background (e.g., anything by Norton, McAfee; pop-up stoppers, toolbars)?

Hi,

Your browser sounds like it has been hijacked, by a self installing bot.
Depending on the pop up page, you can tell which bot is responsible. May i
suggest you visit www.pchell.com and also make sure to download a free copy
of Ad-aware remover from www.downloads.com , this utility cleans
parasites,malware and browser hijacker bots.

I've got AdAware, Spybot, HiJack This and they are all clean. The links I
am talking about are legitimate. Example, go to a shopping site and click
on a link to bring up a picture of an item. Picture opens in a new winow
but then closes in about 5 seconds. Can't figure out why.
