IE not working

Hi all,

I have a problem with IE on Windows XP. I don't even use it much,
preferring almost another browser, but especially Mozilla Firebird.
Unfortunately my bank is misguided and disallows online banking
connections with other web browsers.

I know that the network is working perfectly - I can ping, nslookup,
check email, and use other web browsers to my heart's content. But open
IE and go to any website, and I get "cannot find server or dns error".

It does work if I know the IP address, e.g. my router home page at
192.168.0.1.

Any ideas? My computer has recently been joined to a domain, but I am
logged on as my previous local user.

Do a Google Search (or better yet - a Symantec search) for "QHost".

Might help you out.
