IE 6 SR1, windows 98, cable modem

When a web page is displayed the scroll bar is very slow,
I will pull the scroll bar down and it moves one line at a
time takes several seconds, also notice when I key into a
field I will finish typing then watch the letters appear
one at a time. I defragged, cleaned as much of the system
as possible, does anyone have a suggetion, problem only
showed up in the last week, the support center told me to
add memory?

Well unless you took out some memory since last week we should maybe look
for anything else that's changed since last week eh?

Take a look at this list of links about sneaky things that can get on the
PC... many are poorly written and cause unpredictable effects with IE. Sorry
there's rather a lot but "Something" may look familiar to you. By all means
wait for other replies too, there may be some simple answer I don't know
about.
