Hello,
I'd like to configure my laptop so that closing the lid triggers a
different power management action depending on whether or not my laptop
is plugged into AC power. Specifically, I'd like:
Close lid on battery power >> Enter Standby
Close lid on AC power >> Screen power off, but otherwise no state
change
That way, if I close my laptop for the night while plugged into AC
power, all my data backup and other overnight applications will run on
schedule. Right now, if I close my laptop for the night, my laptop
always enter standby and my overnight applications fail to execute.
(However, I do want the laptop to enter Standby if I close it while
running on battery power).
I have studied the XP and Toshiba power management control panels, but
I do not see how this can be done.
Any ideas??
Jay
