My laptop won't come on

Hi Techies,
I had to leave my desk for a while so I closed the lid of my laptop without
shutting down. Now the laptop is not powering on even with the powerpack
connected.
When I press the power button, it flashes and goes off.

I've removed the battery, changed the RAM but nothing is working.
Any Help pls?

Remove battery, remove AC Adapter, try and power it on, it should fail
to come on. Wait a couple minutes, connect AC Adapter, not the battery,
then power it on. Once it comes on, re-insert the battery and it should
work fine.

Your laptop does not support Suspend/Hibernate properly - check your
laptop vendor for updates to the BIOS.

Since you're not getting close to starting Windows, a hardware newsgroup
seems a better place to ask this question than a Windows newsgroup.
