ICS not allowing persistent internet connection on client computers

In a small office, I have a Windows XP SP2 computer connected to the
internet via an 802.11g AP. That computer also serves as an ICS
(Microsoft Internet Connection Sharing) host for three other computers,
connected via a wired ethernet network. The 802.11g AP is connected to
a larger network with shared network resources (printers, etc.)

The ICS host is able to browse all network resources and the internet
without restriction. The client computers are able to open a web
browser and connect to the initial page they visit. However, they are
unable to receive a response from any remote site for any further page
visits. Client computers are, however, able to connect to network
resources from the larger network connected to the AP without
restriction.

I assume that the problem revolves around an access misconfiguration in
ICS configuration, either on the ICS host or the ICS client. ICS was
configured through Microsoft's wizards, using default settings.

How can I configure this network so that the ICS host and the ICS
clients are able to persistently connect to internet resources?

Disable ICS on the host computer, then re-enable it.

If that doesn't solve the problem, check the MTU (Maximum Transfer
Unit) setting on the client computers as shown here:

You can make the setting manually on the client computers, as shown on
that page, or use DrTCP to make it:
