I have two computers connected by a cross-over cable. One
is runing Windows XP (the host one) and the another one is
runing Windows 98 SE (the client one). I have got the
following problems:
1) The files and printer can be shared each other by both
computers. However, I can't. "ping" the client one from
the host one and the host one from client one as well.
Why? Network setting for the host one is
192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0 and for the client one is
192.168.0.2/255.255.255.0. "Default Gateway" is 192.168.0.1
2) I have run Network Setup Wizard on Windows XP (the Host)
and on Windows 98 SE (the Client). On the Client, when I
click "Start" - "Programs" - "Accessories" -
"Communication" - "Internet Gateway", the computer cannot
find an internet gateway. How can I solve this problem?
Many Thanks!
