ICS is unreliable on client computer

I have 2 home computers, both networked using LAN. I have complete access
from both computers, of all files and printers. The Host computer is running
XP Pro SP2, the Client computer (Laptop) is running XP Home SP2. I have used
the Network Set-up Wizard to network these computers.

The problem is: When I connect to the internet from the Host PC, I can only
access a limited amount of the internet from the Client computer. My Host PC
can access all of it with no problems. Also, when I disable 'Windows
Firewall' from the Host PC, it improves the range of internet available on
the Client computer.

I have done an 'ipconfig /all. Here are the details:

Host Computer -

Host Name: JORGENSEN
Primary Dns Suffix:
Node Type: Unknown
IP Routing Enabled: Yes
WINS Proxy Enabled: No

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix:
Description: Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC

Physical Address: 00-0D-61-02-D6-36
Dhcp Enabled: No
IP Address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:

Client Computer-

Host Name: Create-DVD
Primary Dns Suffix:
Node Type: Mixed
IP Routing Enabled: No
WINS Proxy Enabled: No
DNS Suffix Search List: mshome.net

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix: mshome.net
Description: Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC

Physical Address: 08-00-46-E7-48-6D
Dhcp Enabled: Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled: Yes
IP Address: 192.168.0.105
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DHCP Server: 192.168.0.1
DNS Servers: 192.168.0.1

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards, Paul.

This could be an MTU problem. Such problems were common with shared
DSL connections that use PPPoE, but were supposedly fixed in SP1 and
SP2.

Here's a possible solution:

1. Find the right MTU setting on the client computer, as shown here:

http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article04-107

2. Make the setting manually on the client computer, or use DrTCP to
make it:
