ICS client connection problem

I have an Earthlink satellite two-way connection thru DirecPC modems. A Host
XP Pro computer is connected to the satellite modems and thru a Hawking
PN105ES switch to one Client computer. Previously I was able to make the
internet connection from the client using XP Home edition but after
installing XP Pro I am unable to re-establish contact. I went thru
http://practicallynetworked.com/sharing/, using Network Setup Wizard I was
able to file share only after assigning a static IP address of 192.168.0.2. I
believe that is the only change I made to the Setup. I have disabled WIF and
Norton IS. I went thru MS support Troubleshoot ICS problems and Direcway ICS
installation troubleshooting to no avail.

There's no default gateway specified for the client, so it can't
access the Internet. Set the default gateway to 192.168.0.1, which is
the host's LAN IP address.

Some unrelated notes:

1. There's no difference between ICS in XP Home Edition and XP
Professional.

2. There's no risk in disclosing the Physical (MAC) Address of your
network adapter.

Steve,
Thanks for the info. but adding the default gateway address did not help.
Would Network Diagnostic Scan info. help? If so, is there info. in that
which should not be posted?
Thank you.
