I had 2 Xp computers one of them Xp Pro that networked o.k. I added a new Xp
Laptop to the network which shows up on it's My Network Places but says
Access denied when I try to open the 2 old computers on the new machine. I
can Ping all computers by IP address but not the new one by name. Have
removed Zone Alarm and turned off Norton Anti Virus. Have attached copies of
ipconfig\all for computers 1,2 & 3

Ron,

Your first problem is Peer-Peer Node Type on Three. That won't work on a small
LAN.

You may also have problems with Two and IPV6.
<http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/fix-network-problems-but-clean-up.html>

And any time you add another computer, you increase the risk of a browser
conflict.

But fix the Peer-Peer first. That one is a given.
