I dont know about incoming calls when connected thru modem

I have windows XP service pack 2. Previously whenever I conenct thru 56K
modem, and if I get an incoming telephone call my modem connection instantly
used to get disconnected and I used to get the telephone ring, so I could
receive the call.

Now suddenly it has stopped, and I dont get my modem disconnected on
incoming call, and I dont know whether there is any incoming call at all.

I have call waiting on my telephone line, but I dont think that will effect
the disconnection thing, as on my other computer with win98, I still get a
pop-up for incoming call, but on my windows XP computer, simply I dont even
come to know that I have incoming phone call.

Can some one suggest me, how shall I get this done, as I want my computer
modem connection to get disconnect immediately and I receive the incoming
call.

I appreciate any advice on this

As far as I knlow, this is available with the v.98 protocol only. You
may want to reinstall the latest drivers for your modem and check with
the support of the modem's manufacturer for if you have set it up
correctly.
