I cannot install any printers

After uninstalling several programs (from the add/remove
programs) I found that all my printers were gone, after
trying to install a printer (in Add printer from printers
and faxes) I get the following message: "Operation could
not be completed."

After trying to install my printer's software, It also
gave me lots of errors about not being able to install the
driver.

What can I do to fix it? some help please!

Is the print spooler running?

From the command prompt, type

net start spooler

and hit enter

Are the printers back now?

What make and model printer? How is it connected to the PC? What is the
exact text of the error message? Are you logged on as an Administrator or a
User with Admin rights?
