Doesn't anyone know how to do this?

My installation of ACT failed because it said I was missing some Offic
files. I'm using Office 2000 and want to reinstall it, but "Oh Goo
Lord" I don't want to have to redo all of my customized menus and ico
buttons in Word and Excel.

Can these be saved and later reinstalled?

In appreciation,
Bruc

Have you tried asking this question in a newsgroup dedicated to
Microsoft Office? This newsgroup deals with Windows XP.

If memory serves (Office 2000 was two versions ago, after all), many of
the Excel customizations will be stored in a file called Xlstart.xlt.
Word's default document settings will be stored in Normal.DOT, but I
don't recall where any toolbar customizations would be.
