How to repair winsocket and tcp/ip layer on XP?

Hi,
I just remove spyware from XP. However, dialup connection and network
connection (Network card) are intermittently broken afer spyware removal.
Is there a way to fix winsock or reinstal TCP/IP layer on XP? I remember
the old time (Windows 98), You can remove TCP/IP or network card and
reinstall them again then everything is working afterward.
