How do I get rid of the little "Delete block? No (Yes)" that has .

I used to be able to delete a selection by highlighting (selecting) and then
pressing the Del key. Now, I get the question appearing on the bottom of my
screen.
 
In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two boxes for
WordPerfect help and navigation | OK.
