How do I copy rules to a search folder?

I have a number of rules created for my Inbox. I'd like to copy the rules to
search folders. But in the "Rules and Alerts" dialog, when I try to copy a
rule, it allows every folder EXCEPT my search folders as a destination.

How do I copy a rule to a search folder?

Why do you need a rule in a search folder? it's just a virtual folder
pointing to messages in other folders.

You can run rules now on search folders if you need to move the messages to
one folder (or you could select and use Edit, Move to folder).
