How can I set a different default printer for each hardware profile?

I need my laptop to pick the correct printer as the
default printer based on the network. I have setup 2
hardware profiles, HomeNet and OfficeNet , on the laptop
in an attempt to facilitate using different default
printers.

How can I set a different default printer for each
hardware profile?

I use my laptop computer on 2 different networks, home and
office. I have to change my default printer when ever I
move between the Home and Office networks. The home
network is a workgroup set up with Win XP and the Office
network is a domain network. The printer for the office
network uses a print server, and the printer for the home
network uses LPT1.

The printer on the home network is attached to a computer
running WIN XP professional.

I cannot use different user name to logons, because when I
am on the home network, I still need to use the same user
name on the laptop to be authenticated to connect to the
office network (via VPN).

Assuming you are authenticate to both network with some
type of login script. Use the kixstart script to map to
the default printer base on the type of network you are
log on to.
