Hotmail & SP2

I don't know if I can blame the SP2, but since I installed it I'm not able
to read my hotmail messages.

If it's a free account you wont. MSN announced that it would no longer
supported and SP2 users were the first to find out.

I have SP2 and can still use Hotmail in Outlook Express. I can't add new
Hotmail accounts however.

As of April 2005 (I think) you'll lose access to free Hotmail. Someone
posted the link to their announcement the other day, but now I can't find
it.

You will still be able to use Hotmail for free, but the words 'lose access'
are partly correct. Right now, Outlook, and Outlook Express will access
Hotmail's HTTP mail (web mail) without using the IE browser to go to
Hotmail's website. Downloading the mail with an email reader will end in
April. You will have to log onto the website to read your (free) mail. A
subscription service will still allow that, in the future.
