help with worm

I'm using my wife's computer now. I have a Dell 2500
laptop with Windows 2000. Last Friday my computer went
crazy, I can't do these functions: use my email it says
I'm out of memory but it works on another computer, can't
download updates from microsoft to delete worm or any
other updates, can't print directions of microsoft give
error, speed is very slow. Any sujestions?

If that doesn't work, get the update file from someone
else (assuming you don't have it already), and install it
while in Safe Mode.
