Help-My System is frozen since downloading Beta update

Can anybody help me? Since downloading the update to MS Beta Spyware my
Inspirion will turn on and get to desk top icon stage and then lock up. If
I try to click on a program nothing happens. I've tried system restore, that
didn't work, I've tried putting in the cd and checking for corrupt files,
but I had to go into safe mode in order to get a cmd prompt, and I don't
think it worked. The window came up that said it was checking, but nothing
ever moved. Has anyone else has this problem?

Plun is right, But it may be a conflict with something, I
had tried to run Panda with my symantec before and
symantec and micro beta were my 1st line would load first
then panda started the system would get to desktop then
freeze right up I had to go into safe mode delete panda
and the system worked fine ( not helpful for you but that
was an example that I think shows what is happening to you
cant say what the conflict is but it is a possibility let
the help line know what you are running together )
good luck PS took me 4 days to fiqure out that one lol
