Hi
I got the foll message on my machine "The Volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems..." after running chkdsk /r. I then slave the drive in another PC (running XP as well) so that I can access the Documents and Settings folder to extract the Outlook pst file which has all my emails (VeryVery important). After the pc booted I access the slave drive (D:) BUT WHEN I CLINK ON THE DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS FOLDER THERE IS NOTHING INSIDE. WHERE DID MY EMAILS GO. PLEASE PLEASE HELP

Thanks

I had a similar issue, had to reinstall, all my mails were apparently lost,
on a new HD I re-created my e-mail account giving all the prior details and
recovered my mails.

You can re-create your same e-mail accounts on as many computers as you
need, just give the same details, it's not creating another account it's
just re-creating access on another computer. Your mails are in the Mail
Server
and can be accessed from any computer. Otherwise If you saved your mail in
your computer and erased them from the account, it's likely they are lost.

Try posting in these groups and/or others you find, you may get better
advice from a specialized group.
In news groups type mail and see how many come up.
