A newsgroup is like a public bulletin board when people can post questions,
or comments, and other people can post an answer or respond.
It is not manned by any company, but rather individual people like you.
Each news group is directed toward a specific topic.
You are now in a newsgroup for Windows Mail that comes with Vista.
Some of the people who respond are very knowledgeable on the subject and
provide a lot of valid free help.
Unfortunately, some of the people who respond, should not.

You have to weed out the chaff from the grain.

Should should also set your news reader to post in plain text, not the HTML
mode.
Also, do not post using your real email address. (Your address will be
picked up by spammers.)
Set you news reader account to use a non-real address.
(anyname)@mailinator.com is a good address. You pick the (anyname) and if
you ever wanted to see who responds, go to www.mailinator.com and check the
mail for the name you used.
