Does anyone know what causes lagging on an xbox. My son keeps telling me the xbox is lagging. Is this a broadband related problem? Or just because the xbox is old. Our tv is new and our broadband speed is about 45mb. Any advice on what I need to do to fix this ?

No one else in the house hold is using a wireless connection?
Are people watching online streams Netflix etc?
Wired or wireless?
What game is he playing?
Have you checked developer website to look for issues with servers?
is it only his Xbox with the problem?
Have you tried doing a speed test? (checked for latency speeds?)
Have you cleared the cache of the xbox? (look online for tutorials)
Is it constant issue or intermittent?

Hi sorry for the slow response, two many distractions going on at the moment. It's not been sorted
1) Game: Overwatch
2) Developer website: Yes but nothing critically obvious (he says)
3) xBox only issue but he does not have any other devices other than an iPad but that seems ok
4) Done a speed test he says that is ok
5) Constant issue = 80% of the time
I asked him about the cache and he had no idea, so maybe thats one to investigate.
