GOBACK 3.0 DELUXE

Using WINXP w/ all updates

I can't seem to get help from Goback's Web Site because my problem is
too complicated to express in just a few words.

I accidentally deleted Goback, using add/remove. (don't ask how I could
do such a dumb thing.)

I received a message that, "Goback has been uninstalled successfully".

I cannot reload Goback from the CD now. Everytime I click on the CD
ICON in MY COMPUTER, I get that same stupid message.."Goback has been
successfuly...." etc.

How can I get rid of that message dialog box, or how can I reload the
CD, or, if I buy a later version, will it load?

Thanks so much...I'm getting desparate!

Excuse my ignorance but why would you need a utility like GoBack? Doesn't
your system have system restore or are they different applications.
Otherwise I would say you should be able to reinstall from CD ok. You may
have to remove some registry keys. Are you closing all other applications
before attempting reinstall? What happens if you try to run the setup file
on CD from within explorer?

What happens if you insert the GoBack CD then cancel any autostart that pops
open. Next go to Start->Run and type
X:\setup.exe

(where X is your CD-Rom drive letter) That might enable the installer to
run.

You might also try a registry cleaner and remove any reference you see to
GoBack. This one should work fine for that
http://www.elings.com/tools/RegCleaner.exe Install the app and run it. Check
boxes next to anything related to GoBack and click Remove. Then see if you
can run the installer for GoBack again.

Hi J. Goback has been purportedly better that WINXP's System Restore
.. BTW...I downloaded the next updat version of goback, FREE, ver.3.1,
and it solved my problem. Oh, lucky ahd happy me! I now also have a
version that is compatble with WIN XP, whereby ver 3.0 was not. Yippee!
