Hello!

Dumb me!. In order to defragment, using V-Com Utilities, I cleared
out programs running in MSCONFIG by choosing SELECTIVE STARTUP and then
UNchecking STARTUP ITEMS.

Defragment was completed successfully, but when I CHECKED STARTUP
ITEMS, and rebooted, there were no items in the notification area after
waiting a considereable lentgh of time. I am now missing critical
STARTUP items such as GOBACK and NORTON INTERNET SECURITY. I saw a
similar post but I wasn't sure if it pertained to my particula case!

So I went to the three fingered salute and found GOBACK Polling on the
list of items running, but there was no CPU usage indicated. Is it in
fact running? If I crash in the meanwhile, whill GOBACK come to the
rescue? I'm sooooo confused.....(like Barbarino

Help please!

Thanks so much for all the great help I've been getting.

Go to Start > Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Under the General tab, check "Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services",
click "apply" and reboot.
