Notification area

Sorry, Unk,
That doesn't seem to do it today.
I can't get the "Volume" icon into the notification area even though I have
checked "Place volume control in the task bar" in the "Sounds and Audio
Devices" section of the Control Panel.
"Volume" is still sitting in the Past Items area but not in the Current
Items area.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
rmpete

Hi,

As far as I know, the Past Items can only be cleared, not moved.

Go to the following site and click on Remove Past Items. Download and
run the xp_pastitems script.

Thanks, Bert,
but I am not trying to delete the item;
I am trying to get the Volume icon to show up in the Notification area.
As I described earlier, I think I did all the right things but Volume still
does not appear in the Notification area.
Any ideas on what I have missed?
Thanks again,
rmpete
