Hi,
I had Version 3 of "GOBACK" on my 'C' and 'D' partition, (one 40 G
Hard Drive). on WIN XP HOME. I bought version 4 of "GOBACK": but
it would not load because GOBACk 3 is still on the drives. Ya'd think
Norton would include an uninstallon Ver 4.0 , for a lower Version??
Darn Norton!
I went to Add/Remove. GOBACK not listed anywhere! Darn Norton,
again! Then II used the Uninstaller 2006, demo, and it uninstalled
Goback. Yeah! Then , the dreaded message, ."XXXXX" could not be
deleted". I did a "search" and cleaned out a few more GOBACK files. I
searched every where. Could not find any more. Yet, Ver 4.0 will not
install.
After enough snooping here and there I screwed things up and I tried
the RESTORE CONSUL from the DELL RESTORE WIN XP CD. Nothing! So had
to restore XP from the DELL Win XP Disk! The whole 39 minutes
worth.!!!!!
Still, no GOBACK! and I'm online now!.I have all other protection, but
GOBACK is a GodSend with most of my bad doings.
Help please?? I don't want to start NOW learning how to use the
RESTORE function in WIN XP HOME.
