Getting rid of Windows Media Player 9

How does one really get rid of Windows Media Player 9 and all of its
associated files?

The deletion arrangements in Control Panel seem to only get rid of the
ability to access Windows Media Player 9 rather than deinstalling it and
its 30 mB or so of associated files.

Help! Thanks in advance for any assistance.
