Windows Media Player 10 for Windows 2000

W

Will

I noticed that Media Player 10 was released for XP but nothing
followed for either Windows 2000 or Windows 2003. Does someone
know what is Microsoft's intentions for Media Player 10 under
Windows 200x?

Media Player's 9 digital rights authorization doesn't work on
about 90% of all DVDs protected with it under Windows 2000.
I've invested into about 15 DVDs at this point and cannot view
any of them.

Microsoft is not known for caring about the end-user. This is one of
their attempts to force you to pay for Windows XP--even though Windows
2000 is more stable and streamlined.

Ditch WMP altogether. Get a copy of PowerDVD--it plays DVDs very well.
For other media, get the free version of RealPlayer.
