Frontpage repeatedly ask for user id and password when trying to .

I am trying to upload my first webpage to my server and everytime I try to
upload from within FrontPage it repeatedly ask for my uaer id and password
claiming possible error with the server's frontpage extension. I know
frontpage extension is turned on and it is verified by my server's tech
support but I still can't get through the user id and password screen within
from frontpage, it keeps looping back to enter user id and password claiming
possible errors with my web server.

I have this problem with both frontpage 2002 and 2003, also both from my
laptop and desktop and I've also tried a different web hosting server with
same problem. It seems to me the problem is within my frontpage setup but I
can't find out what the problem is. Any help would be appreciated.

Contact your web host and let them know the problem. They may need to
repair or uninstall/re-install the extensions or fix a permissions issue.

Thanks for the reply. I have done that with both hosting services and both
claim are properly installed and checked. I will try it again based on
answers I get from here and see what they say. I am keeping both for now
until I have this resolved.

Are you using IE7 perhaps?

Problem solved!

Apparently the frontpage extension authentication password was different
from the one I use to log in to my web from the server. Once I reset the
password I was able to upload from within FrontPage.

Thank you all for your help.
