From Win98se to Win XP question

When I got my system it had Win 98 which I upgraded to Win 98se with
the upgrade CD. To go to Win XP will the full install CD work? I
know I should use the upgrade but I have the full.

Will it work to upgrade even if it is the full version?

YES / NO

TIA

If the "Full Version" is a "retail version", then yes.
If the "Full Version" is a "OEM Version", then no.

Yes, you may use a Windows XP full install version of the CD to upgrade.
The install CD will detect that you already have an operating system
installed and will open a dialog box asking you if you wish to "upgrade" or
"clean install" at one point. Make certain to select "Upgrade" and not a
"Clean Install" when the appropriate dialog box appears.

Greetings --

Yes, the full retail CD can perform an upgrade. A full OEM CD,
however, cannot.

Yes the full version is a MS RETAIL full version and not an OEM
version.

Thank you all.
