file save formats

I'm using XP. Up until a few days ago, I could save images and assign any
"type" I wanted, or they were saved in the same format as the original. Now
when I right-click to save 1) they will only save in .bmp format and 2) the
option of Save Target As is grey and not an option either.

Anyone know why it's doing this all of a sudden and how I can fix it?
What's up? Please help!!

I did a system restore to a time a couple of weeks back in case it was some
update or something...this didn't make any difference.

Hi,
Clearing the cache usually fixes this. IE> Tools> Internet Options>
General> Delete files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up.)
It's often recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50- 60 MB
(Settings.)
