Help please...
I keep getting a pop up window which reads "Files that
are required for Windows to run properly have been
replaced by unrecognized versions. To maintain system
stability..."...then I'm instructed to insert Windows SP1
CD. My Dell came loaded with XP and it won't accept the
reinstallation CD I have. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
P.S. I tried system restore...also scanned for
viruses...no help.

Hi

You can see what files the FP mechanism have replaced in the
event viewer, run the following command from Start/Run:

eventvwr.msc

Hi

Have a look in Windows Explorer for a folder named i386. If found, try
pointing to that folder instead of the CD.
