Fax Tools..Modem Setup

Hi

I am trying to setup a modem (cable mod that also works
with the internet) to work with my fax machine (lexmark
x75 trio) through fax tools. It recognizes the modem as
acceptable and attempts to install but at that point it
gets stuck. Reboot, try again, install..oops stuck. I
cannot install through hardware wizard because it says
that there is already something being installed...which it
isn't. Thats another problem I am currently working on but
that problem has been there for months and was still able
to install other hardware which is why I don't understand
why I can't install this modem.

You must be kidding. What fax program is this? No fax software would ever
recognize a cable modem as "acceptable" for faxing. Not possible Tell me
more.
Faxing requires phone lines, nothing else.
