I have upgraded from me to xp home sp2 (?), since I have everytime I try
downloading anything from explorer stops responding, or freezes. I can not
even go to microsoft.com to get updates (can not load) or to update explorer
7 or for instance, it freezes when downloading incredimail, anything at all.

What could be the problem?

Trying not to sould stupid, how do reformat? Is the restoring original
factory settings, then updating? I know doing this I will lose all
information (pictures, doc., and music), right?

I strongly suggest that you reformat and do a clean install if thi
was
an upgrade. There are nothing but problems when upgrading.

Here is a link that may help:

'Upgrading to Windows XP' (http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpupgrad.htm)

You will be given the option to reformat your drive when you do a clea
install. Yes, reformatting and doing a clean install, you will los
everything. If you want to keep your documents and pictures, etc, the
I would burn them to a CD or copy them to an external drive first
